Following our presentation at the recent eZ publish conference in Norway we have been inundated with requests for trial accounts. Unfortunately as a result it is taking slightly longer than normal to set up these accounts. However we fully expect to have cleared the backlog within the next week and look forward to showing what an Enterprise class CMS can do for every user.

We have used this time wisely and will ensure that all new trial accounts will be running the latest and greatest eZ publish 3.6.1 .We have also allocated more space to trail accounts and would like to confirm that we will be setting up all the trial accounts received so far. This popularity confirms eZ publish and VisionWT as the best place to host eZ publish environments on the planet.

Update 3rd August 2005

Great news; As from today the backlog is cleared and all new accounts setup in our environment will be eZ publish 3.6-1. These are configured and ready to go with the lasted system elements configured for you so you do not have to.

To make you site even better we now offer fast (static cache) as standard for all version 3.6-1 sites and can announce that we support eZ publish WebDAV on all accounts where requested.

eZ systems and VisionWT were contacted by Buckinghamshire County Council to tender for the ENCORE National Project. This project would enable Parish councils and other County Council bodies to create community web sites at the push of a button.

The selection process was stringent as 26 Open Source Content Management Systems (CMS) were reviewed for the project. Out of the 26 leading CMS environments, 6 were chosen to present to the ENCORE team. Once the presentation had been completed the selection process continued until there were only 3 in the running. One of these was eZ publish backed by VisionWT.

The chosen CMS was one already in use within other projects of the Buckinghamshire County Council and one they had already invested time and effort in, sponsored by the ODPM.

We are proud that eZ publish has been judged in this lengthy 3 month selection process by Buckinghamshire County Council as on of the top 3 content management systems which proved to be user friendly enough and scalable enough to fit their needs.

VisionWT was proud to lead the tender process with eZ publish which greatly impressed Buckinghamshire County Council and we look forward to being first next time.

VisionWT will be at the eZ publish conference in Norway on 2-5 June 2005. As a premier eZ publish partner, Tony Wood of VisionWT will be speaking at the seminar on Friday 3rd June 2005 in the afternoon.

This presentation will cover all the elements of multi-lingual projects from inception to roll-out.
